LOCATION: New York, NY (Upper West Side, near 1/2 trains)
SALARY: $30/hour net “take home” pay
CHILDREN: 2.5 year-old boy and 4.5 year-old girl
START DATE: July/August 2026 (start-date flexible)
SCHEDULE
SPRING/SUMER 2026: Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm (50 hours/week)
FALL 2026: Mon-Fri (40 hours/week minimum)
NOTE: Nanny will work a minimum 40-hour/week schedule beginning Fall 2026. Nanny must be prepared to work longer work-week (with pay) as needed depedning on family's schedule and school calendar.
DRIVING REQUIRED: NO
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Long Island in summer (4-6 weeks)
PETS: NO
DUTIES
compassionate, responsible care for 2.5 year-old boy and 4.5 year-old girl (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle prep & feeding, potty training, teach grooming & hygiene, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (including educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)
school pick-up and take kids to/from park, activities and classes
children's laundry
meal/snack preparation for kids
light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for child, organize baby's drawers, closets & toy boxes)
REQUIREMENTS
proven experience caring for toddlers & pre-school-age children (experience caring for multiple kids of different ages in home)
punctual & flexible to work additional hours as needed
able to travel with family in summer to Long Island
good English speaker
willing and able to work "on the books"
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
seeking a long-term position with family
REIMBURSEMENT
$30/hour net "take home" pay
health insurance subsidy (details will be discussed with candidate)
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off (New Year, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
public transportation to/from work paid by family
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
