SCHEDULE
Monday: 7:30am - 6:30pm (occasional 7pm end time)
Tuesday: 7:30am - 6:30pm (occasional 7pm end time)
Wednesday: 7:30am - 6:30pm (occasional 7pm end time)
Thursday: 7:30am - 6:30pm (occasional 7pm end time)
Friday: 7:30am - 6:30pm (occasional 7pm end time)
Saturday: OFF
Sunday: OFF
DRIVING REQUIRED: NO (driver preferred but not required)
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Summer Hamptons (8 weeks)
PETS: NO
DUTIES
compassionate, responsible care for 3 & 5 year-old girls (family will welcome new baby in home in the future) (e.g. help with bathing, dressing, feeding teach grooming & hygiene, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (age-appropriate educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)
meal/snack preparation when kids in school
help arrange playdates (with other nannies and nearby families) and take to/from park, activities and classes
children's laundry occasionally as needed
help organizing home and light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep, organize drawers, closets & toy boxes)
REQUIREMENTS
proven experience caring for toddler and school-age children (ideal candidate looks forward to working with baby in home as family grows)
proactive "hands on" work style (loves educational games and activities with kids)
team player! (nanny enjoys working alongside stay-mom)
loves educational, interactive play with kids (enjoys participating in imaginary play and other games and activities)
comfortable in kitchen (enjoys healthy cooking)
punctual (arrive/leave on time)
able to travel with family (8 weeks each summer in the Hamptons, weekdays only)
strong English speaker
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
seeking a long-term position with family
REIMBURSEMENT
$35/hour
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
public transportation to/from work paid by family
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
