DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 4 year-old and 2 year-old boys (stay-home mom will provide care for newborn child due end of summer) (e.g. help older kids with bathing, changing, bottle prep & feeding, potty training as needed, teach grooming & hygiene, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (including educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)
school drop-off and pick-up; plus help arrange playdates with other nannies and nearby families, and and take to/from park, activities and classes
family laundry (while kids in school)
meal/snack preparation (includes some cooking for parents each week)
light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for kdis, organize children's drawers, closets & toy boxes)

REQUIREMENTS

high-energy caregiver with proven experience caring for toddlers & pre-school-age children (able to care for both kids at same time)
punctual (arrive/leave on time)
familiar with NYC subway and bus system (help take older child to/from school and appointments)
enjoys working alongside stay-home mom (mom will care for family's young baby)
able to stay late occasionally (typically a few times each month)
good English speaker
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

$32/hour
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
public transportation to/from work paid by family
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
