LOCATION: New York, NY (Union Square, near N/Q/R/W/4/5/6/L trains)

SALARY: $30/hour

CHILDREN: 1.5 & 3 year-old boys (most care for younger child)

START DATE: January/February 2026

SCHEDULE

  • Monday: ‌7:30am - 6pm (occasional 8am)‌

  • Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (occasional 8am)

  • Wednesday: 7:30am - 6pm (occasional 8am)‌

  • Thursday: 7:30am - 6pm (occasional 8am)‌

  • Friday: 7:30am - 6pm (occasional 8am)‌

  • Saturday: OFF

  • Sunday: OFF

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

TRAVEL REQUIRED: NO

PETS: NO

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 1.5 & 3 year-old boys (most care is for younger child) (e.g. morning school prep, help with bathing and dressing, meal preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule, teach hygiene and grooming)

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)

  • help arrange playdates (with other nannies and nearby families) and take to/from park, activities and classes 

  • children's laundry

  • meal/snack preparation for kids

  • light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for child, organize baby's drawers, closets & toy boxes)‌

REQUIREMENTS

  • experience caring for toddlers and pre-school-age children (experience with two children of different ages in home)

  • proactive "team player" (takes initiative) and enjoys helping out where needed

  • detail-oriented nanny with good judgement

  • punctual (arrive/leave on time)

  • skilled at cooking for kids (enjoys trying new recipes to help keep kids interested in new foods, providing a healthy, varied diet)

  • very good English speaker​

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed

  • CPR-trained or willing to receive training

  • takes direction well & communicates openly

  • seeking a long-term position with family ‌

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $30/hour (final offer varies with skill and experience

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)

  • 5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off

  • public transportation to/from work paid by family

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
