SALARY: $26 ($30 when 2 kids in 2026)

CHILDREN: 3 years old plus baby in 2026

START DATE: May 2026

SCHEDULE

  • Monday: ​7:30am - 5:30pm

  • Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm

  • Wednesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm

  • Thursday: 7:30am - 5:30pm

  • Friday: 7:30am - 5:30pm

  • Saturday: OFF

  • Sunday: OFF

NOTE: nanny must be able to occasionally start earlier or end later as needed. Family will give as much advance notice as possible.

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

TRAVEL REQUIRED: NO

PETS: NO

DUTIES

  • compassionate care for 3-year-old pre-school girl followed by newborn expected in 2026 (e.g. help with bathing & dressing, potty training as needed, teach grooming & hygiene, help maintain sleep/nap schedule)

  • take child to and from preschool in a safe and timely way

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)

  • help arrange play dates with other nannies and nearby families; take child to/from park, activities and classes 

  • children's laundry

  • meal/snack preparation for child (some meal prep for family)

  • housekeeping when not caregiving (e.g. take out trash, mop, vacuum, load/unload dishwasher)

‌REQUIREMENTS

  • proven experience (minimum 2 long-term jobs) caring for pre-school kids and infants (family is having second child in May)

  • experience with multiple children in home

  • punctual and able to stay late and arrive early occasionally as needed

  • competent English speaker

  • comfortable using NYC bus system to/from school & comfortable calling Uber/Lyft when needed

  • helps keep family home tidy, organized, and clean

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed

  • CPR-trained or willing to receive training

  • takes direction well & communicates openly with parents

  • seeking a long-term position with family 

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $26/hour ($30/hour when nanny cares for 2 kids)

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)

  • 2 paid sick days

  • the following major public holidays are paid days off (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

  • public transportation to/from work paid by family

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid for 8-HOUR DAY when not needed such as during family vacation)
