DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 95-year-old woman (healthy but increasingly frail with advanced age; help with activities of daily living such as bathing and changing, feeding, grooming & hygiene, medication reminders, ensuring safety while walking)
day-to-day companionship (take walks, play games, daily conversation)
take client to appointments and activities
laundry
meal/snack preparation
light housekeeping when not caregiving

REQUIREMENTS

proven elder care experience (able to care for client independently, although frequently other people will be in home)
comfortable staying with family in two locations (New York City and Long Island)
competent English speaker
comfortable with family dog (Long Island home only)
willing to get seasonal flu shot when available
takes direction well & communicates openly‌

REIMBURSEMENT

$1,550/week (Mon - Fri live-in)
- $750/weekend for separate live-in weekend companion (Fri pm - Sun pm)
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
public transportation to/from work paid by family
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
