LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEKEEPER

LOCATION: New York, NY (Union Square, near F/4/5/6/N/R/W/Q/1/2/3/A/C/E trains)

SALARY: $30/hour

CHILDREN: 5-year-old twins (boy & girl) (boy has diabetes)

START DATE: October 2025

SCHEDULE

  • Monday: 11am - 7pm (occasional 8am - 6pm)‌

  • Tuesday: 11am - 7pm (occasional 8am - 6pm)‌

  • Wednesday: 11am - 7pm (occasional 8am - 6pm)‌

  • Thursday: 11am - 7pm (occasional 8am - 6pm)‌

  • Friday: 11am - 7pm (occasional 8am - 6pm)‌

  • Saturday: OFF

  • Sunday: OFF

NOTE: nanny will stay with the family in the Hamptons in the summer

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO (driving a plus when family in Hamptons in summer)

TRAVEL REQUIRED: summer in Hamptons

PETS: friendly dog

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 5-year-old twins (boy & girl)

  • daily housekeeping

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (reading storybooks and educational games)

  • school pick-up & take kids to/from park, activities and classes (use subway/bus as needed)

  • family laundry

  • help with meal/snack preparation

  • manage family inventory (groceries, bathroom and cleaning supplies, etc.) 

  • shopping and errands as needed‌

REQUIREMENTS

  • experience caring for school-age kids

  • experience caring for children with diabetes a plus! (experience not required but must be interested in learning; RN degree a big plus!)

  • detail oriented & willing to learn basic care and meal prep for child with diabetes (e.g. basic math to measure ingredients carefully)

  • punctual (arrive/leave on time)

  • able to travel with family (summer in Hamptons)

  • able to keep flexible schedule (change schedule when kids not in school)

  • strong English speaking & reading skills

  • comfortable using subway/bus system (take kids to activities)

  • comfortable with dog in home

  • swimming a plus!

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed

  • takes direction well & communicates openly

  • seeking a long-term position with family 

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $28/hour (final offer varies with skill and experience)

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)

  • 5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off

  • monthly MetroCard reimbursed

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
