FULL-TIME NANNY (live-out)

SALARY$25/hour (candidate pays taxes) + 10 days paid time off + medical/dental/retirement benefits

TYPE OF CARE: Live-out nanny for 16-month toddler girl

SCHEDULE: 

  • MONDAY: 7am - 7pm

  • TUESDAY: 7am - 7pm

  • WEDNESDAY: 7am - 7pm

  • THURSDAY: 7am - 7pm

  • FRIDAY: 7am - 7pm

  • SATURDAY: OFF

  • SUNDAY: OFF

NOTE: must have flexibility to work overtime, overnight and/or travel with family, as requested

NOTE: must have flexibility to extend into additional properties/seasonal live-in status

START DATE: March 2019

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

DUTIES

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (e.g. reading storybooks, indoor/outdoor play, puzzles & games, singing & nursery rhymes)

  • organize toddler’s calendar arranging independently for routine playdates, outings, etc

  • facilitate physical development (eg. running, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, playful way

  • arrange play dates and activities

  • take child to/from park, activities and classes as child grows

  • meals/snacks and clean-up, laundry and closet upkeep, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag and stroller maintenance, etc.

  • occasional support with family housekeeping and serving at formal dinner parties

  • occasional care as needed for family's other children

REQUIREMENTS

  • experienced in toddler care (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

  • excellent English (verbal & written)

  • polished & professional

  • experience working in upscale, expensive home (large staff)

  • able to travel with family (nationally and internationally)

  • experience helping with toddler's education and development (e.g. teaching new words & numbers, help use fork and knife)

  • very clean and careful with toddler and toddler's property

  • punctual (arrive/leave on time)

  • able to travel with family (domestically and internationally)

  • experience with multiple children of varying ages

  • team-player who takes direction well & communicates openly with parents and other household staff

  • willing to get medical screenings/immunizations as directed by family prior to employment

  • CPR-trained (or willing to receive training immediately)

  • willing and able to work "on the books" (Green Card or U.S. citizen)

  • seeking a long-term position with family 

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $25/hour (taxes will be deducted from biweekly paycheck)

  • 10 paid vacation/personal (days half selected by employer, half by employee), sick days and major public holidays

  • medical & dental insurance 

  • contributions to retirement plan (401k)

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. nanny paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
