DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 4-month-old baby (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (including "tummy time", educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and educational games)
take child to/from playdates, park, activities and classes as directed by parents
children's laundry
meal/snack preparation for kids
light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for child, organize baby's drawers, closets & toy boxes)

REQUIREMENTS

experience caring for infants and toddlers (experience with school-age kids also a plus!)
enjoys working alongside mother and grandmother, and open to following family's childcare preferences
good cooking skills for kids
punctual (arrive/leave on time)
competent English speaker
experience with multiple children of varying ages a plus!
willing and able to work "on the books"
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

$28/hour net "take home" pay
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
monthly MetroCard reimbursed
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
