LIVE-OUT NANNY

LOCATION: New York, NY (Flatiron District, near N/Q/R/W/4/5/6/G/L trains)   

SALARY: $30/hour

CHILDREN: 19-month-old toddler (plus baby in September 2025)

START DATE: June 2025

SCHEDULE

  • Monday: 8am - 6pm‌

  • Tuesday: 9am - 6pm‌

  • Wednesday: 8am - 6pm‌

  • Thursday: 12pm - 6pm

  • Friday: 12pm - 6pm‌

  • Saturday: OFF

  • Sunday: OFF

NOTE: Typical week is 40-45 hours (40-hour minimum)

NOTE: ideal candidate can rarely stay until 7 or 7:30pm sometimes, and overnight occasionally in the NYC home while parents traveling for work.

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 16-month-old toddler (e.g. help with bathing and dressing, teaching hygien and grooming, feeding, potty training when needed, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (including educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)

  • help arrange play dates (with other nannies and nearby families) and take to/from park, activities and classes

  • child's laundry

  • meal/snack preparation for child

  • light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for child, organize child's drawers, closets & toy boxes)

‌REQUIREMENTS

  • experience caring for toddlers and pre-schoolers (lively personality, enjoys talking, playing and interacting with young kids to support their development) plus infant experience (begin to care for baby in September 2025)

  • able to keep flexible schedule (occasional start early or end late & occasional overnight stay to watch kids when parents traveling)

  • confident English speaker

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed

  • CPR-trained or willing to receive training

  • takes direction well & communicates openly

  • seeking a long-term position with family 

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $30/hour

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)

  • 5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off

  • monthly MetroCard reimbursed or paid by employer

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
