LOCATION: New York, NY (Flatiron District, near N/Q/R/W/4/5/6/G/L trains)

SALARY: $30/hour

CHILDREN: 19-month-old toddler (plus baby in September 2025)

START DATE: June 2025

SCHEDULE

NOTE: Typical week is 40-45 hours (40-hour minimum)

NOTE: ideal candidate can rarely stay until 7 or 7:30pm sometimes, and overnight occasionally in the NYC home while parents traveling for work.

DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 16-month-old toddler (e.g. help with bathing and dressing, teaching hygien and grooming, feeding, potty training when needed, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

age-appropriate play & learning activities (including educational games, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play)
help arrange play dates (with other nannies and nearby families) and take to/from park, activities and classes
child's laundry
meal/snack preparation for child
light housekeeping when not caregiving (tidying up common areas after playtime, clean kitchen after meal prep for child, organize child's drawers, closets & toy boxes)

‌REQUIREMENTS

experience caring for toddlers and pre-schoolers (lively personality, enjoys talking, playing and interacting with young kids to support their development) plus infant experience (begin to care for baby in September 2025)
able to keep flexible schedule (occasional start early or end late & occasional overnight stay to watch kids when parents traveling)
confident English speaker
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

$30/hour
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
monthly MetroCard reimbursed or paid by employer
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
