NANNY (live-in & live-out)

LOCATION: New York, NY (Upper West Side, near 1/2 trains)

SALARY$1,200/week

TYPE OF CARE: full-time nanny for two boysages 1 & 6.5 years old (live-in and live-out)

SCHEDULE: 

  • MONDAY: 10am - 7pm (live-in)

  • TUESDAY: 7am - 7pm (live-in)

  • WEDNESDAY: 7am - 6pm

  • THURSDAY: 8am - 7pm (live-in)

  • FRIDAY: 7am - 6pm

  • SATURDAY: OFF

  • SUNDAY: OFF

NOTE: nanny will live-in Mon/Tue/Thur and live-out Wed/Fri

START DATE: August 2019

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 1-year-old boy (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule); occasional care also for 6.5-year-old boy

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and reading storybooks)

  • help arrange play dates and activities (with other nannies and nearby families); take kids to/from park, activities and classes

  • meal/snack preparation for kids (occasional cooking for whole family a plus)

  • light daily housekeeping when not care giving

REQUIREMENTS

  • experience in infant/toddler care

  • enjoys cooking

  • tidy, high energy personality

  • enjoys light daily housekeeping

  • able to travel with family about two weeks/year (domestically/internationally)

OTHER

  • competent English speaker

  • experience with multiple children of varying ages

  • takes direction well & communicates openly with parents

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed by family

  • CPR-trained (or willing to receive training immediately)

  • seeking a long-term position with family!

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $1,200/week

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee) and major public holidays

  • monthly MetroCard reimbursed

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. nanny paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
