NANNY (live-in & live-out)

LOCATION: New York, NY (World Trade Center area, near 1/2/A/C/E/R trains)    

SALARY$1,100/week + 10 days paid time off & MetroCard

TYPE OF CARE: full-time nanny for 6-month baby boy (live-in and live-out)

SCHEDULE: 

  • MONDAY: Live-In

  • TUESDAY: morning - 3pm

  • WEDNESDAY: Live-In

  • THURSDAY: morning - 3pm

  • FRIDAY: Live-In (leave Saturday morning 10am)

  • SATURDAY: OFF

  • SUNDAY: OFF

NOTE: nanny lives in stays in shared room with baby

START DATE: July 2019

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 6-month baby boy

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (including singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and reading storybooks)

  • help arrange play dates and activities (with other nannies and nearby families); take to/from park, activities and classes as child grows

  • cooking/meal preparation for family

  • baby's laundry and light housekeeping when not caring for baby

REQUIREMENTS

  • experienced in infant/toddler care (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

  • enjoys cooking (will cook same dish for child and parents)

  • able to travel with family inside U.S. (7-8 weeks/year in California) & able to travel internationally a plus!

  • competent English & Hindi speaker (speak Hindi to baby)

  • collaborative and flexible work-style (nanny will work alongside mother)

  • takes direction well & communicates openly with parents

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed by family

  • CPR-trained (or willing to receive training immediately)

  • seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $1,000/week

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee) and major public holidays

  • monthly MetroCard reimbursed

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. nanny paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
