FULL-TIME NANNY (live-out)

LOCATION: New York, NY (Battery Park City, near 1/2/3/AC/E/R/W trains)

SALARY$18/hour

TYPE OF CARE: Full-time live-out nanny for 14-month-old girl

SCHEDULE: 

  • MONDAY: 8am - 6:30pm

  • TUESDAY: 8am - 6:30pm

  • WEDNESDAY: 8am - 6:30pm

  • THURSDAY: 8am - 6:30pm

  • FRIDAY: 8am - 6:30pm

  • SATURDAY: OFF

  • SUNDAY: OFF

NOTE: nanny should be able to keep flexible schedule (nanny may work late occasionally)

START DATE: September 2019

DRIVING REQUIRED: No

DUTIES

  • compassionate, responsible care for 14-month-old girl

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (including singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and reading storybooks)

  • help arrange play dates and activities (with other nannies and nearby families)

  • take to/from park, activities and classes as child grows

  • meal/snack preparation for baby, baby laundry and light housekeeping


REQUIREMENTS

  • experienced in toddler care (e.g. bathing, changing, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

  • must be an energetic person who loves talking and interacting with kids; interested in child development (emotional/physical/intellectual)

  • good cooking skills for kids (able to be creative, introduce new dishes to child, etc.)

  • able to keep flexible schedule (nanny may work late occasionally)

OTHER

  • competent English speaker

  • takes direction well & communicates openly with parents

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed by family

  • CPR-trained (or willing to receive training immediately)

  • seeking a long-term position with family


REIMBURSEMENT

  • $18/hour

  • 10 or more paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee) and major public holidays

  • monthly MetroCard reimbursed

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. nanny paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
